Another 6 mistakes you MUST avoid when training legs and booty! ♡ Get my workout guides now - https://www.hannaoeberg.com ♡ In this video, I will be guiding you through 6 different leg and butt exercises and common mistakes for these exercises. I will show you how the mistakes usually look and then I will show you the correct technique and movement. By fixing these mistakes you will not only become stronger faster and grow more muscles, you will also avoid injuries and will be able to train more and harder. Full workout with reps and sets: 1. Squats 4set x 10-15reps 2. Leg press 4set x 10-12reps 3. Stiff deadlift 3set x 10reps 4. Pull through 3set x 15reps (2sec squeeze in the top) 5. Sumo squat on bench 4set x 10reps (2sec squeeze in the top) 6. Donkey Kicks 4set x 20reps /leg Information about the workout errors and how to avoid them: 1. Squats - some common mistakes when squatting is to bend over your back so that the pressure is on your back instead of your legs. Another mistake is that you do a dip with your booty. Instead, we want to have a straight back and a controlled movement. Stand shoulder wide, and if you want you can learn the technique without weights, to begin with. 2. Leg press - avoid having your feet and knees like a "V", don't lock out your knees when pressing up and last don't tilt up your lower back when pressing at the start. To do it correctly, place your feet and knees at the same angle/line. Press slowly and controlled, have your lower back and booty pressed at the seat. 3. Stiff deadlifts - When performed wrong you might have straight knees and legs and a bent back, which means the back is doing most of the lifting. We don't want this, instead, we want to bend our knees and legs slightly, keep a straight back during the whole exercise and let our hamstrings work. 4. Cable pull through - the most common mistake for this exercise is doing it too fast with no control. To do it right: stand shoulder wide, slightly bend your knees and a straight back once again. Pull up the weights in a controlled movement and squeeze the weights with your glutes at the top. 5. Sumo squats with a weight, standing on a bench - A wrong performance might be when you perform the exercise with a bent back and your knees are pointing inwards. To do it correctly: Point your toes a bit outwards to the sides, lock your back in a straight position. Press from the heels and upwards to really target the glutes. Once again, squeeze the booty at the top of the exercise. 6. Donkey kicks - A typical mistake is to swing up your legs which pressures your lower back quite a bit. Instead, we want to do it correctly and do slow and strict repitions. So building strength in your legs by adding the squat to your exercise routine is a smart way to help prevent injuries while doing your everyday activities. Doing squats with bad form can turn the exercise against you though, so it is important to begin doing squats by learning how to do a squat with correct form. This video will show you the key components: 1) Take a wide stance (about shoulder-width apart) 2) Put your hands out in front of you for balance 3) Sit back as if you are sitting in a chair, keeping your feet flat on the ground and your knees behind your toes. 4) As you are sitting back, keep your chest up and your head looking forward. When you are first starting off with squats, do 1-3 sets with 10 reps in each set and 30-60 seconds rest in between, and really concentrate on doing the form correctly. As you build strength in your legs, you can add sets or more reps to each set. Get the full workout: http://bbcom.me/1Lvb6Z1 When time is of the essence, all you need is a squat rack and these 8 exercises from Ashley Horner to blitz your whole body and get out of the gym in no time. The female body needs iron. No, I'm not talking about the mineral. I'm talking about lifting iron in the gym! The moment I started lifting for my own strength, I found beauty, passion, and confidence. When someone tells me I lift like a girl, I take it as a compliment. If you want to be stronger, fitter, and more confident, then you need iron in your life. Today's workout is ideal if you work out in a busy gym, where you can't afford to waste much time going from one machine to another. You'll need a barbell, the squat rack, and a pumped-up attitude. Scout the squat rack and set up camp. Prepare yourself physically and mentally to crush this workout. The workout includes eight exercises to target the whole body, with 3 sets of each exercise and 8-10 reps per set. "I don't have enough time" is not an acceptable excuse in my book. With this full-body routine, you'll be in and out of the gym in no time! Before I start my workout, I make sure I get a really good stretch, especially for my IT band and hip flexors, since these muscles are heavily involved in the movements. WARM-UP STRETCH ROUTINE To prepare for this squat-rack session, grab a gym towel or stretch band, if available. This quick routine aims to improve your flexibility and keeps your muscles functioning within a full range of motion. First, you'll stretch the IT band and glutes. Lie on your back, raise one leg straight into the air, and wrap the band or towel underfoot. This gives you leverage to push your leg against to really pull on those tight muscles. By moving your outstretched leg around and to the side, you will feel a decent stretch on the hamstrings and glutes. To emphasize the IT band more, cross and bend the leg to the opposite side of your body, as if you're trying to place your foot on the floor. Next, to stretch your hip flexors, lie on your elbows, pull one leg into the body with the knee pointing outward, and keep the other leg completely outstretched. Push your stretched leg back to emphasize that hip flexor. Switch to get the other side. It's time stretch out your back and upper body. Wrap a towel around a sturdy pole and slowly back up, leaving your arms outstretched and butt back. Keep your back from arching and feel the stretch in your lats and upper back. Next, stretch your chest. Using a towel or band around a sturdy pole, hold onto the band with one arm and twist your body to one side in a lunge position. Switch to the other arm to even out the arms and pectorals. As a final stretch before the heavy work begins, I like to place one arm behind my head and stretch out the triceps. Don't forget to hit both arms! GET IN THE RACK Once you're warmed up and ready, it's time to get to work! Again, aim for 3 sets per exercise within the 8-10 rep range for each. Keep rest between 45-90 seconds. The idea is to keep things moving at a pace that's right for your individual fitness level. If you need to take breaks, take them, but keep them short. Squats are a great exercise to workout your butt and legs, but you have to do them correctly. In this workout video female Fitness Model Karen Kennedy is doing a squat workout by doing 4 different type of squats. Workout: Medium stance barbell squat for 10-12 reps followed by close stance squats for another 1-12 reps. She goes all out. After 2 minutes rest she does close stance Dumbbell Squats for 10-12 reps followed by wide squats for 10-12 reps. Go all out. If you can do more then 12 reps increase the weight.
